How is Barack Obama’s Search-Engine Optimization So Good?

I have a unique name and when I Google my own name, my Barack Obama page shows up first.

I have about 600 posting in a programmer’s forum and that used to show up first.

How did the Barack Obama do such a good job at SEO?

looks like your name as a keyword has higher relevance when cross-tabbed with Barck Obama. Google’s page rank by default lists posts related to current events and recent updates higher than the rest. i wouldn’t be surprised if your posting was tagged somewhere in one of those tag sites under ‘barack obama’ label and if the tag site has higher page rank than the programmers forum it totally makes sense to show up above all other 600

How do I capitalize on Search Engine Optimization?

1. Directory Submission : Free ones & not paid ones.
2. Articles Submission: Write a article & submit it in Articles Directory. In the source or Writer Description, describe yourself and link it to your website.
3. Press release
4. Forum or Blog Comment posting
5. RSS feed Directory

Will a Search Engine Optimization Specialist upload pages or do I pay my web designer to do it?

If I hire and SEO to tell me how my pages should change to rank higher, will he/she actually create those pages and then upload them or do they just make recommendations and then I have to have my web designer make the changes and upload the pages?

Actually, there are some SEO companies who will actually do the work on your site that they recommend (and you approve of). And there are other companies who are consultants only — they’ll tell you what improvements are needed, but they won’t touch your site. You have to make the changes, or have your webmaster make them.

This is something to ask when interviewing companies about their services.

I am Web developer and I have to spend lot of my time for search engine optimization please help out technically.

When you are optimizing a webpage, don’t bother too much about all search ranking aspect. The more you understand the more complicated it will be. What you need to do is to follow their guidelines.

1.) Make sure you have your main keyword included in your title
2.) Make sure you don’t stuff keyword in meta tags and hope that search engine will rank you #1 in all keywords. Use only what your document is related to!
3.) Always remember to have

tags in your document. This is extremely important and could add relevancy weight to your page.
4.) You first paragraph of your web document tells search engine what your content is all about. Have your keyword placed there will brings you benefits.
5.) Double check your document and make sure you have not missing HTML tags. If not, this tell search engine that your pages does not have a good layout as unclosed HTML tags will break a webpage design.
6.) Navigation structure. Provides a good navigation structure to BOTs. It will help them crawl your site quickly. A good structure should always have all subpages accessible for not more than 2 clicks away!
7.) Have your document title included in your URLs. Keep away from dynamic URLs.
