I’m going to Hawaii, specifically Oahu, next week and am looking for some advice about what to do to make my time more enjoyable. There are three of us going, my wife, almost one year-old girl and I.
adding to imamakei…
since you will have a one year old that might be kinda difficult for certain activities..
there is a city tour, island tour, pearl harbor tour, there is now a food tasting tour where they take you to different places to eat and sample the food, there is the zoo and an aquarium for little one, the beach is right there on the strip which the little one could enjoy,,,there is germaine’s luau which you must attend a luau…there is also a magazine you can order over the internet called oahu gold which has coupons and agencies that book tours which are cheaper than the internet..you can also rent a car at the airport so you can have your own time to stop if the little one needs to stretch…make sure your insurance company covers a rental there otherwise you will have to pay for insurance there which is costly…oahu gold magazine will give you an idea what is available that will suit the little one but I quarantee you will love oahu and not want to leave…if you need more info. email me at mysticmoonprincess01@yahoo.com subject box oahu
Container ship. You hire a moving company and they handle everything.
Thank you!
Zanzibar night club, the Zoo, X-treme Parasail Hawaii
I would like activities more than touristy things to do. If anyone has any cost cutting hints I’d appreciate it also.
The island of Hawaii (Big island) has the most activities! They’ve got awesome beaches (Hapuna beach was ranked as one of the best beaches in the states!) so you can do lots of beach activities such as swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing…you also can do kayacking. They’ve also got volcanos; Mauna Kea, Kilauea Volcano national park etc. I recommend that you stay in Kailua-Kona side, not Hilo side. Hilo side rains pretty often and it’s more humid.
Big island hawaii is just such an amazing place to visit. The scenery that you see right after you get out of the airplane is really impressive. It makes you feel that you came to another planet or something. One thing that Big island could be missing is shopping. But unless you are crazy for shopping, big island is the place to visit!!

What are things to do in Honolulu, Hawaii?
Me and my family are going on vacation to Honolulu this week
what are things to do and places to go and all dat stuff like dat
There is an easy way to be able to do everything in Honolulu that everyone here has mentioned for one low price – grab an Oahu Fun Pass! It lets you get in without paying any entrance fees, you also get to avoid booking issues & even lines – beleive me these passes are an incredible savings & let you do EVERYTHING! Even locals use them for popular attractions. Buy 1 pass & get into all attractions, tours & adventures free – they have lots of little upgrades too like no standing in lines etc – good luck & aloha!
We are going to Hawaii and our almost 13 year old girl gets bored really easlily. What kind of things are there to do that will last a long time? Other then the obvious like watch movies and stuff. Thanks!
Here are some ideas:
-Buy some age appropreate magazines that she might like, and surprise her with them. (If she gets bored with one, make sure you have another one to keep her busy)
-Does she have a MP3 player, or iPod- those are very helpful!
-Go to your local craft store, and buy some (again, age appropreate) crafts that she might like to do. For example: buy a cute foam, magnetic frame, and some stickers, and put a picture of your daughter and her friends, and then she can make them for her friends, and they can put them in their lockers at school)
-Buy some treats at the Dollar Store or something like that, and again, give them to her periodically during the flight.
-Bring a travel dry- erase board, and some dry- erase markers- that may be fun for her to "doodle" with, and hey, it saves paper!
-Have a great flight- I hope this helps!
