    It’s not like I’m going to write subject specific content in forums for a client that’s a lawyer or car dealership.

    One way to find forums that deal with your subject is to find forums that link to your competitors. Like Matt says don’t just spam it get involved and answer questions.

    Matt, all of the examples you give really pertain to your experience and tech knowledge. Next time, try giving suggestions without referring to anything tech. (Ie – my customers do not care if I found a way to change the default printer in firefox on linux.)
