First of all, before you want to do any SEO, you need to be focused on what you are doing and sorry but I don’t see that right now because what you have is stuff on news, sports, travel, boxing and photo.
You can have all these content but make sure you segregate them by putting them on different pages.

Speaking entirely for myself I find animated gifs annoying and a pain the backside.. using sparingly they can add tot he content used indiscriminately they at best distract from the site content
the effects you are using to move you titles do nothing in my view to improve the presentation or content. They dpn’t come for free. You are puttign a load on the user agent.. Ive recently had rogue adverts on Amazon grabbing 50% of my system resources and slowing Firefox down horrifically.
if you have good content you don’t need to use seemingly flashy graphical tricks
